Gregory Boxberger, MD, FACC is a Kansas native who grew up in the community of Russell. He graduated from Wichita State University, where he lettered in basketball, then went on to earn his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in 1978. He completed an internship and residency at the University of Texas in San Antonio and received his cardiology training at the University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Dr. Boxberger was in private practice in Alabama prior to joining the Galichia group in 1984.While at WSU, he earned the Abbott Award as an outstanding student athlete and held memberships in both his university and medical school honor societies. Professionally, he is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Intervention. Dr. Boxberger is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Cardiovascular Disease and is board eligible in Interventional Cardiology.
